Dr. Abraham Jacob – Director
Dr. Abraham Jacob began his journey in 1983 at Texas Tech University. He then attended Medical School at American University of the Caribbean and continued his training at University of Kansas Medical Center and Kansas City VA Hospital in Kansas City, KS and completed his final year of training in interventional cardiology with a private group doing business as Iowa Heart, P.A. at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
After 10 years of working in a group practice, Dr. Jacob formed his private practice in 2012, located in Plano, Texas where his focus is on those individuals who currently have or are at greater risk for cardiovascular disease. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Jacob is a respected cardiologist and a partner of The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano.
He is also on staff at Baylor Regional Medical Center of Plano, Baylor Medical Center of Carrollton, Texas Health Hospital of Carrollton, and Val Verde Regional Medical Center in Del Rio, TX. Dr.Jacob is also on staff at the Dallas VA Medical Center where he makes a difference in the lives of our Country’s Veterans, From 2011, Dr. Jacob has been Medical Monitor for Phase 1, Non-Randomized, a feasibility study for the use of bone marrow cell concentrate prepared using the Magellan system for the treatment of critical limb ischemia. Dr. Jacob is the Chief Medical consultant and Principal Investigator at Styde Research LLC.
Dr. Abraham Jacob has also been a Medical Monitor for Phase 1, Non-Randomized Feasibility Study for the use of autologous marrow-derived hematopoietic stem cells with autologous platelet-rich plasma for the treatment
of compartment syndrome since 2012. A Department of Defense Project.
Dr. Jacob is also the Managing Director of the Athletes Heart, screening hearts of healthy children looking for the “silent killer among athletes”.
